To get started, brush the peeled apple wedges with melted coconut oil. If you prefer more sweetness, you can also add one tablespoon of raw honey or maple syrup to the melted coconut oil.
Next, coat them in a mixture of tapioca starch and ground cinnamon. Set them on a prepared baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through. When the apple fries are ready, serve alongside coconut frosting and enjoy!

Ingredients
- 5 small Granny Smith apples, sliced into ½-inch wedges
- ½ cup tapioca starch
- 2 T ground cinnamon
- 3 T coconut oil, melted and divided
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F and grease a large baking sheet with two tablespoons of coconut oil.
- Sift the tapioca starch and ground cinnamon together. Whisk well until you get a homogeneous mixture.
- Brush the apple pieces with one tablespoon of coconut oil, then coat with tapioca-cinnamon mixture.
- Place the apple wedges in a single layer on a prepared baking sheet (about two inches apart). Bake for 20 minutes, or until crispy on the outside, and make sure to flip halfway through.
- Serve apple fries alongside coconut frosting and enjoy!
