Dried cranberries add a sweet, tangy flavor and bring a dose of antioxidants. Look for unsweetened dried cranberries to avoid added sugars or harmful additives. You can also substitute them for dried cherries or raisins.
The rich, creamy dressing has a hint of maple syrup and cozy cinnamon blended with coconut cream and Paleo mayonnaise. You can make your own Paleo mayo at home with just a few simple ingredients (we love this mayo recipe) or pick some up at your local grocery store. Tip: You can also use the dressing as a fruit dip for apples and pears.
To get started, combine the apples, walnuts, and dried cranberries in a medium mixing bowl. Whisk the dressing ingredients together in a small bowl and drizzle on top of the fruit mixture. Stir thoroughly to coat the apple mixture and serve immediately. Keep in mind the apples will start to brown and should be enjoyed the same day as prepared.
