If you like sweet and tart candy, then you’re going to love the natural tangy flavor of these Sour Patch Grapes!
Everyone’s favorite classic candy is made healthy with fresh grapes subbing and a coating of coconut sugar for sweetness. Flavorless, powdered gelatin is mixed in with the coconut sugar to help it bind to the grapes for that ideal sweet-sour taste in every bite. Plus, gelatin comes with its own host of health benefits!
Making these Sour Patch Grapes couldn’t be any easier. First, soak red and green grapes in water for about five minutes. This is key to making the collagen-coconut sugar mixture stick to the grapes. While the grapes are soaking, shake the coconut sugar and collagen together in a reusable plastic bag. Add the grapes to the bag, shake again to coat the grapes, and enjoy!

Pro tip: Use toothpicks to remove the grapes from the plastic bag. The grapes will be sticky, so if you want to keep your hands clean, toothpicks will do the trick!
For optimal freshness, keep your Sour Patch Grapes in the refrigerator or freezer. They taste even better frozen, so if you really want that face-puckering sour taste, then freezing is the way to go! I recommend making a double batch and freezing half for when you’re ready for your candy fix.
