These easy cacao butter chocolates are filled with natural antioxidants that are sure to win over any sweet tooth.
Using a combination of cacao butter and coconut oil, these sweet treats come with an uber-smooth texture that’s completely dairy-free and gluten-free.
Added cacao powder gives them a rich chocolatey flavor while the raw honey lends a mild sweetness. For the final touch, we add a pinch of sea salt on top to marry all the flavors together.

To get started, melt the grated cacao butter and coconut oil in a double boiler. In a large mixing bowl, combine the butter mixture with the raw cacao powder and honey. Whisk well to combine, then pour about one teaspoon of mixture into each heart-shaped cavity mold.
Next, sprinkle the sea salt evenly over the chocolate mixture and let it chill in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. When fully hardened, pop the hearts out of their molds and serve immediately. You can store leftovers in an airtight container for up 10 days in the fridge or three months in the freezer.
Tip: If you prefer the chocolates to be vegan-friendly, you can swap out the honey for equal parts maple syrup.

Ingredients
- 2/3 cup grated cacao butter
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 3 T cacao powder
- 2 T honey
- 1 T coarse sea salt + more for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the grated cacao butter and coconut oil in a double boiler and mix well to fully melt.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter mixture with the cacao powder and honey. Whisk well until the cacao powder has fully dissolved.
- Pour about 1 teaspoon of chocolate mixture into each cavity within the heart-shaped silicone mold. Sprinkle the tops with sea salt and transfer to the freezer for 30 minutes.
- When finished, remove from the mold and sprinkle with additional sea salt (if desired).
