Asian Inspired Minced Beef with Coconut Aminos
Ingredients
- 14oz minced beef
- 1 tablespoon ghee (or sesame oil)
- 1 large brown onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/4 cup coconut aminos
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 carrot, julienned
- large handful lettuce leaves
How To Make It:
- Heat the ghee in a frying pan on medium heat and add the onion and garlic, fry until brown then add the minced beef, break up the beef to remove lumps and stir until the beef has browned.
- Add the ginger, turmeric and cayenne pepper and cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add the honey, coconut aminos and water, stir for 2 minutes then cover and cook for 5-8 minutes or until most of the liquid has evaporated.
- Serve with lettuce and julienned carrots.
