This easy recipe combines baked chicken wings in a homemade pumpkin sauce that’s equally sweet and savory. Naturally gluten-free and dairy-free, it’s the perfect dish for parties or dinner when served with a hearty salad.
To get started, toss the chicken wings together with baking powder, salt, and garlic powder until they are evenly coated. Drizzle the olive oil on top and continue tossing until all the wings are fully coated. Place the wings on a baking rack and spread them in a single layer. Place the rack onto a baking sheet while making sure the wings do not touch each other. Bake for 30 minutes at 250°F.

Next, increase the oven temperature to 425°F and continue baking the wings for another 40 minutes. You’ll know they’re ready when they turn crispy and golden brown. In the meantime, prepare the sauce by mixing all of its ingredients in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the wings are done baking, toss them with the pumpkin sauce and serve immediately. Enjoy!

- Large baking sheet
- Parchment paper
- Baking rack
- Large mixing bowl

For the Wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 T baking powder
- 1 T salt
- ½ T garlic powder
- 2 T olive oil
For the Pumpkin Sauce:
- 1 cup pumpkin purée
- ¼ cup water
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 t pumpkin spice
- 1 t garlic powder
- 1 t crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 t ground black pepper
- ¼ t salt
- To Make the Chicken Wings: Preheat the oven to 250°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Place a baking rack on top and pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- Toss the chicken wings in a large bowl with baking powder, salt, and garlic powder. Drizzle with olive oil and toss again.
- Place the chicken wings in a single layer onto the prepared baking rack, making sure the wings do not touch each other.
- Bake for 30 minutes, before increasing the temperature to 425°F. Bake for another 40 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.
- To Make the Pumpkin Sauce: While the wings are baking, combine all the sauce ingredients in a large skillet over medium heat. Mix for 3 to 4 minutes, then set aside until the wings are ready.
- Once the wings are done, toss them in a large bowl with the sauce. Serve immediately and enjoy!
