1. Tell us your Paleo story.
I started Paleo about 3 months ago. I was 215 pounds and only getting bigger due to my job and diet. I exercised but had not seen any results. I had heard about Paleo for a while but thought it might be a fad diet… then my friend Mike told me about how well it worked for him, so I decided to give it a try. I researched it for a while, realized the mistakes I had made with my current diet, then corrected them one by one.
Since that day, I have slimmed down easily! Within two months I was down 40 pounds! Kept losing weight, and finally got down to where I am at right now at a happy 170 pounds.

2. How long have you been Paleo?
I have been on Paleo for a lil over 3 months now.
3. Why did you start? What did you want to change?
I started because I was gaining more weight than I had ever in my life… I was getting chunky. I had reached 215lbs, and a lot of people were noticing. I wanted to get slimmed down to my boxing weight of 165… I am just 5lbs away!
4. Was it hard to incorporate into your lifestyle?
It was not hard at all. I was all ready to get into the swing of things mentally. I felt sad giving up the fast food life, but I convinced myself to want the healthy stuff even more! Now fast food doesn’t quite do it for me anymore 🙂
5. Give us an example of a typical day.
My typical day involves 4-6 hard boiled eggs, one every 2-4 hours. I wake up early for food, have a great breakfast that is big (could be a large omelet that has very interesting but paleo ingredients, with vegetables like spinach or kale, and SMALL amounts of fruit or I just have a glass of almond milk). Then I go work out for about 1-2 hours, cardio, lifting, boxing, and also swimming and yard work). Lunch is usually something I cook up, or left overs, but its always tasty. Dinner is the about the same.
6. What are the biggest changes you’ve experienced?
My mood has changed a lot. I can’t tell if its Paleo or just my own hard work to get me to this point of understanding… (probably Paleo haha!). My energy has DOUBLED!! I can work out for hours without stopping! My taste for food has changed, I have become more open to new foods.
7. How has this changed your outlook on life?
I now see that I am looking to experiment with foods more, in finding the best taste with all the health benefits. I look to eat at better restaurants, and have found a lot in the OC. I feel so much happier, and notice that others have noticed my own changes and want to see if they can incorporate them in their own life.
8. What words of encouragement do you have for the Paleo community?
I have this to say…If you want change, truly want change for your: body, mood, energy, skin, etc… Then get into paleo! This has changed my life in so many ways. I can’t tell you how many times I wish I could’ve tried this sooner! For those already here, I am glad to join you on this journey to a healthier self.
