Lavender acts as a mood stabilizer, sedative for anxiety, and protector of nerve cells. Because of these functions, it makes an excellent source of aromatherapy before bed. Along with lowering your heart rate, it’s also great for slowing down racing thoughts at night. (1)

The rose flower, aka the “King of Flowers”, has been used medicinally for thousands of years. Its buds, hips, and oil are used both topically and internally to aid with anything from digestion to migraines. When it comes to topical application, rose contains significant antioxidant compounds, called phenolics, to help reduce aging from free radicals. (2)
Coconut oil contains high-quality fatty acids that attribute to its ultra-moisturizing benefits. Along with giving your skin an extra boost, it also contains potent antiviral and antibacterial compounds. (3)
To get started, set a double boiler over low heat and melt the coconut oil. Once melted, transfer to a medium mixing bowl and stir in the flowers, coconut oil, and lavender essential oil. Mix until fully combined.
Then, pour the mixture into an ice cube tray and place in the freezer for roughly 10 to 15 minutes. When ready, pop a cube from the tray and let it melt with warm bathwater for a relaxing night in.
Tip: Due to the oily nature of the melts, your tub will be slick afterwards, so give it a quick rinse to remove oil.
