If you love popsicles but don’t happen to own a popsicle mold, don’t worry. With these practical popsicles in plastic bags, you can easily make your own sans mold!
The idea behind these is to make popsicles from your favorite smoothies. You can use your favorite blend of fruits, veggies and natural sweeteners like raw honey!
All you need are small freezer plastic bags (I used bags that measured approximately 3 inches by 5 inches) and ice cream sticks.
Once you’ve made your favorite smoothie, simply pour them into the bags, place an ice cream stick in the middle, and then freeze until ready!

Tip: I used berries to make the smoothie but you can easily switch out the berries for other fruits of your preference. If you prefer to leave out the almond milk, you can use other types of non-dairy milk (coconut milk would be equally delicious) or water.

How to Make Popsicles in Plastic Bags
Tools
- 10 plastic bags (approx. 3 inches by 5 inches)
- Wooden popsicle sticks
Ingredients
- 2 cups berries of choice, sliced (I used a mix of strawberries and blueberries)
- 2 bananas, sliced
- 2 cups almond milk
Instructions
- Place the berries, bananas, and almond milk in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour the smoothies into small plastic bags (I used bags approximately 3 inches by 5 inches in size), filling them up to ¾-full. Be careful not to fill it completely, as the mixture will expand. Place an ice cream stick in the middle before zipping them close.
- Place the zipped up bags in an upright position in a loaf pan.
- Let the popsicles chill for at least 5 hours before eating.
- To remove the popsicles from the bags, simply run the sides with warm water for 10 seconds and then pull the popsicles out.
