Ease anxiety with this calming hot chocolate infused with soothing hemp honey and raw cacao.
This chocolatey drink is sweetened with a special honey that boosts brain function while promoting relaxation. It can be whipped up in under 10 minutes and requires only three simple ingredients to get started!
For the honey, we went with Beekeeper’s Naturals B. Chill Honey. While any raw honey will still make for a tasty hot chocolate, B. Chill Honey packs powerful enzymes, MCT, and hemp oil. The hemp oil has the ideal ratio of omega-3 to omega-6 fatty acids and is key for anyone looking to manage stress and anxiety. And don’t worry, it doesn’t have any of the psychoactive effects of THC, just naturally calming benefits. (1)

You’ll also get a boost of anti-aging benefits from the antioxidant-rich raw cacao powder that replaces the usual sugary chocolate found in store-bought hot cocoa mixes. Tip: Use raw cacao powder in Paleo mousse, brownies and cookies to reap the benefits.
Coconut cream keeps this hot chocolate ultra creamy without any dairy. You can use the thick paste that forms on top of canned coconut milk or purchase cans of coconut cream at your local grocery store. Just be sure the contents are unsweetened with no extra additives.
To get started, heat the coconut cream in a saucepan over low heat for four minutes, or until steaming. Whisk in the raw cacao powder and honey until completely dissolved. Then, divide the hot chocolate between two mugs and finish with Paleo whipped cream. For extra fun add a sprinkle of dark chocolate chips on top. Sip hot and enjoy!
