Slather your bacon-wrapped carrots in a sweet and savory glaze for side dish decadence.
Whether you’re looking for more ways to sneak in veggies or need a simple side dish to entertain guests, these addictive carrots will do the trick! Make them in less than an hour and serve alongside your favorite entrée (like these crispy chicken thighs).
Opt For The Perfect Slice Of Bacon
We like using uncured and pasture-raised bacon to cut down on harmful additives and sugars. Look for thicker cuts to prevent it from shriveling up in the oven. You’ll notice they hold up stronger when stretching around the carrots during prep.

Double Coat The Glaze
The garlic-maple glaze ties the whole recipe together. We brush half the mixture onto the carrots before baking (so that it caramelizes) and once afterward as a final coating. The two layers of sticky sweetness allow for a pop of aromatic flavor and a crispy outer layer.
Helpful Tips To Get You Started:
- Opt for smaller carrots. Look for thin carrots sold in bunches with the leafy tops still attached. These will be easier to wrap.
- Season with your favorite herbs. Try dried thyme, chili powder, rosemary, or chives.
- Use the right pan. A baking pan with raised edges will catch the bacon grease drippings.
