We’re in love with Brussels sprouts here at Paleohacks. This recipe packs the tasty veggies with the sweetness of apples and raisins for a hearty salad.
Brussels Sprouts, Hemp, Raisin & Apple Winter Salad
Brussels Sprouts, Hemp, Raisin & Apple Winter Salad
Ingredients
- 12 Brussels sprouts, thinly sliced
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon ghee (or olive oil)
- 1/3 cup chopped pecans
- 2/3 cup hemp seeds and/or hemp hearts
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/2 red apple, sliced into bite size pieces
How To Make It:
- Heat the ghee in a skillet or frying pan on medium heat and add the onion, fry until the onion begins to turn golden brown.
- Add the Brussels sprouts. Cook for 3-4 minutes or until the brussels sprouts are tender.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and allow the Brussels sprouts to cool slightly. Stir in the pecans, hemp seeds, raisins and apple.
- Serve warm.
